The experts waited a few minutes to let everything calm down. It wasn't until Elder Sarah's figure plunged to the ground did they shoot forward to help her.
Unfortunately, they were too far, so she crashed into the ground and her impact caused a relatively small crater to form.
Noah had to look away in respect since she remained naked, but her friends covered it up quickly and soon they were on their way to the city.
No words were spoken for a long period. Noah felt certain everyone had their minds on both his matter and Elder Sarah's matter.
He didn't speak too and watched as the darkness that existed below the city covered them before they ascended, through a pit and arrived in the city.
A sense of nostalgia smashed into Noah's mind, as a scent he associated with the city filled his nostrils The vibrant colors that clothed the dark habitation felt like a new sight in a long while.
The various sounds of chatter and booms of beasts shattering the sound barrier rushed into his ears.
He took in all those details and felt delighted about his return, even if his face revealed no emotion.
The experts flew across the city to arrive at the center region, where they dispersed. Or at least Delilah left to take care of stuff. While Elder Von, Dan, and Anna, flew toward Elder Sarah's mansion.
To Noah's shock, the building had undergone a significant change.
The first detail one would notice would be the overall height of the building. No extra floor was added, but it had been buffed up for reasons Noah still didn't know.
The second detail would be the barrier that now existed around the place. Noah could sense that it had gone past the third tier. Meaning they had anticipated her breakthrough and had created a habitation capable of housing her.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThanks to the necklace, whatever pressure the barrier and the building as a whole released was incapable of affecting him.
The five figures landed on the grassy court and immediately moved into the building, where Noah felt a tremor in the fabric of space.
A wide room appeared in his eyes at that point, and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the event.
The room was completely cream-colored and empty. It didn't even possess a chair, which was why when Dan who had been carrying Elder Sarah led them towards a door right across the room, he didn't hesitate to walk past it.
An orange room unfolded in their various gazes at that point, and the chairs Noah expected to see were present.
"We'll take her to her room. You can make yourself comfortable," Dan said, directing his words at Noah and Elder Von, who nodded and did just that.
The red-haired expert grunted when he took his seat on a yellow couch even if he didn't sound tired.
An awkward silence fell upon the duo at that point, and Noah felt reluctant to break it.
Silence had always been his best friend in times like that.
"How was your time outside of the guild?" Elder Von soon initiated a conversation. Noah could only follow suit.
"It was fine. Productive," he stated nodding slightly.
"I can see," Elder Von commented sweeping his gaze over the breathtaking beauty that was the man before him. He still found it surprising.
Noah faced a fake smile before allowing it vanish a moment later. Another silence swept their figures.
Thankfully it didn't last long since the figures of Dan and Anna made Von speak.
"When do you think she'll be awake?" Elder Von asked, directing his question at both friends, but Anna replied first.
"Maybe a month, or two," the expert replied taking a seat too.
"That's incredible considering the fact that most breakthrough's take as long as ten years to complete. But she's never been normal. And now that, that scary mana runs through her body, I believe she'll even be more extraordinary," Anna explained closing her eyes to take in the scene she had witnessed.
"She's been stuck at the peak of the third tier for thirty years after all. Her existence probably doesn't desire a break" Dan commented, and the room went silent.
Noah felt his mind buzz at the revelation. His mouth suddenly felt dry and his eyebrows struggled to remain in their normal positions.
He could swear that he would have exclaimed had he not gained such marvelous control over his body.
'Thirty years,' Noah swallowed hard. That number of years stuck in the third tier would have made him run mad.
Yet rather than her potential degrade and her chances of ascending decrease, she eventually did it, and gained something that looked like the strongest flames Noah had gazed at.
"Now, why don't we focus on him," Dan remarked with a slight grin, his gaze locking with Noah's.
"Come on tell us your secret. How did you do it?" Dan asked in a voice suggesting that he joked with his words. But Noah knew he was serious.
"As I said earlier, I have always had an above-average cultivation speed," Noah stated again, even believing his own words.
"That's pig crap," Dan remarked. "It's not possible to have that type of speed. I've met many who possessed astonishing cultivation speed, but never as monstrous as what you claim," his words had lost their cool. Yet he didn't seem angry.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmNoah remained silent at that point, most of his mind remained on the remark the expert made.
'Who says pig crap?' he wondered; genuinely taken aback. That was the first time he heard such a curse. Odd.
Dan frowned at Noah's silence, but Anna gave him an eye and he was forced to calm down. He recalled Sarah's warning about trying to influence her student with his authority.
Now that she had gained tier 4 power, her threat then; now sounded legit and potentially deadly.
The expert sighed facepalming himself inwardly.
Aiden had no obligation to respond to his questions If he didn't want to. It wasn't anything related to work.
"What this agitated dummy was trying to say, was that whatever way you achieved your quick cultivation speed would be helpful to us. Even Sarah would have benefited from it." Anna treaded the diplomatic path.
"I believe he's more inclined to the Sarah part. It hasn't been nice watching her stay stagnant in a level she had reached before us," Anna added, and Noah felt her words touch a spot in his heart.
"But my words still stand. I simply have a cultivation speed far from normal. If I could share it I would have," he explained, unsure of his last sentence.
"Thank you for your honesty," Anna nodded, shooting a glare at Dan, who furrowed his brows a bit.
Standing up with a bit of force, he walked across the room to where Noah was and was about to speak when his instincts flared in danger.
Not only his but everyone in the room.
"Are you picking on my student just because I passed out." Elder Sarah's voice made the building tremble. Then she silently flickered in front of Dan.
The expert jumped back with a yelp, and so did the others. Except for Noah, who had been unable to leave his seat.
