The group arrived at the castle's small black gate and one individual in Turquoise blue armor stood at its entrance. They were tall, and their presence commanded respect. Even Noah acknowledged them.
'An imperial knight,' he thought, remaining silent on the outside.
The knights went forward to bear their greetings and also the caretakers. After which they were allowed into the castle walls. It was weird having a castle inside the walls of another castle.
A wide black door unfolded in their gazes and it opened even before they could reach it. The group of knights however stayed on the outside, while the caretakers and the winners walked past the door.
Noah felt a weird pressure land on his consciousness, as they were teleported to a location that wasn't the castle they entered.
That door had only been a portal.
Noah opened his eyes in a cyan-colored environment. A room to be specific. But a plain one.
The place was weirdly shaped. It seemed as though they were within a spherical structure.
It took him a while to eventually regain his focus, and his eyes immediately fell on the long floating rectangular object featuring a golden material draping from its figure.
Before the object Noah now confirmed was a table were seven individuals who sat on magisterial-looking chairs. Their eyes were on them.
"They've finally arrived," A feminine voice rang out from that high place to reach them.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAll of the individuals had their faces veiled with golden pieces of clothing featuring inscriptions.
An air of regality and power poured from their highly seated places. They were like kings and queens.
"We of the guild council bear our greetings," all three of the caretakers knelt before them in unison, and the winners were forced to do the same.
"Rise," The same feminine voice resounded, and they did so without further command.
"These are the winners of this year's tournament of champions," the lady said, and Noah felt a heavy gaze sweep over his figure. It gave him chills.
"Yes," Miranda stepped forward, her aura somber.
"Let them step forward with an introduction of themselves," the lady commanded.
"Starting from the third position," she added and Bon flinched.
He immediately stepped forward.
"I am Bon, a C-rank member of the Illusory blade guild. I greet the royal council," Bon knelt before their high presence.
"We of the royal council acknowledge your presence." the lady raised her hand in response. Bon stood up and walked back at that point, allowing Madison to walk forward.
"I am Madison, A C-rank member of the Falling ocean guild. I ask that the royal council acknowledges my presence," she placed one knee on the ground, the other raised.
"A fine woman you are," the lady commented. "We acknowledge your presence."
"Thank you," she bowed, before finally standing and returning to her former position. Her gaze fell on the stunning Noah as he walked forward with unintentional grace. He was perfect.
"I am Aiden; a C-rank member of the Great guild, divine lightning. I bear my humble greetings to the royal council," he felt smug inwardly, but also a bit worried.
"The council acknowledges you as the first position champion," the lady revealed, spreading a wave of calm in Noah's being.
He bowed and returned to his position. That simple event had been hectic for him.
"Truly a great set you have here with you. Unfortunately, this Is all we will be doing. As you all have witnessed, there are urgent matters to be attended to." she explained.
"Nevertheless, we announce to you that there will be others who will embark on this journey with you."
"These are also the seals of the royal family, with it, the nations that have friendly relationships with us will grant you entry. They have been informed already, but this takes it further." The council member explained while six shiny objects floated down from that high table.
Rings.
Noah immediately put his on. The ring didn't seem that special, but it featured one golden rune in its red stone. That simple detail would be enough to grant them access to anywhere in the nation.
They bowed when they received the rings. That was the go-ahead of the royals.
"Good. We wish you a safe journey," the lady spoke before waving her hand. All six of their figures disappeared at that gesture.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"He's different than I thought," one of the seated individuals apart from the woman immediately commented. He was a man.
"Far different," the same lady spoke up.
"Three affinities," another female revealed, calmly. They all had sensed it when he arrived.
"Is he half-elf?" Another lady present spoke. Actually, there were only two males present among the seven individuals. But that wasn't all of the council members. There were twelve of them.
Five were out of the nation in wherever they wanted, but it was mainly as a result of work. Gears were moving in the world system and even their nation.
The nobles had been planning a war for the past century, but they always feared the military power of the royals. Which meant plans that were more than the eye could see were being laid out.
The nobles knew they could never affect the royal city, but significant damages could be done to the cities and settlements far away from the Elidra.
"Wind, Lightning, and Ice. He has it all. How does his body handle it?" Another female spoke, genuinely perplexed.
Dual affinity wielders were known to have issues with cultivation. Sometimes their bodies broke down and many died. Those who survived usually had more power but their bodies and mind suffered it.
For this reason, most dual affinity wielders usually had basic affinities. Like fire and earth. The few that had both rare and common were in a league on their own. But due to this, they bore higher requirements.
This is one of the reasons Elder Sarah had been stuck within the third tier for decades.
With that understanding, one could finally understand how incredible it was for a human to possess two rare affinities, and not be dead. He even had a common one to add to the shock.
"We shall keep an eye on him. He might be the key to a breakthrough in the understanding of affinities." The woman who had addressed the winners explained, after which they moved on to deeper topics.
