The results of the event eventually calmed down. Noah had stopped running at that point and moved forward to awaken his comrades.
He tapped each of their faces until they regained consciousness and heavy silence filled that room.
Elder Ezra could only remain afloat. Gazing at that scene with equal silence. She had been capable of following Noah's movement and had seen just how expertly he was capable of utilizing his body.
Extensive meditation on Ersha's memories had allowed Noah to gain an understanding of some other uses. He had to move so quickly and in a form that generated after images.
"You all have lost to me before you could land a hit," Noah declared, addressing his seated comrades. None of them responded to him, only reviewing what had happened with sobriety.
They had not seen him coming, and only his fist had appeared in their sight before everything went dark.
All of them had suffered cracks in their faces, but they would be healed in no time.
"That's not fair. You were moving fast. Too fast," The other male tried to find a redeeming quality in the occurrence. He glanced at the bulky expert and saw that he lowered his face in defeat.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Fair?" Noah responded arcing an eyebrow.
The wind blew as his figure flickered from his position to arrive before the said expert in an instant. Noah crouched to his level, gazing directly into those black eyes.
"Only the weak look for a fair environment. I'm sure you know that, expert." His tone remained as cold as ever and his existence oozed stunning danger. Noah felt terrifying at that point. And truly he was.
"Now that we have that settled," he moved and returned to his former position faster than the experts could follow. "I'd like to know your names." He revealed, watching the room shrink in size until it was at its initial size.
"Starting with you," Noah pointed at the bulky expert, but he didn't complain.
"I am Davis," the black-haired man announced raising his head to stare at the breathtaking being before him. He didn't feel like a man or an elf. Or anything he had ever faced for that matter.
Noah simply nodded and the others got into introducing themselves. The name of the other male that had joined in expressing their complaint was Ken. Noah believed both individuals would be of great use.
Then there was Gary, Kevin, Josh, and Pete. The females were Jade, Cora, Trella, Lora, Jenna, and Naomi.
He didn't bother about their past or what they had been doing right before being called. He simply took note of their names. They would be together for a while after all.
"I believe that issue is solved," Elder Ezra stepped in, shaking her head inwardly. What manner of a man was he?
"He is the leader of this group, but most especially he'll be the one in charge of your safety," the elder continued.
"I understand it's hard to believe, but from what you've witnessed I'm certain your view of things have changed. Aiden will be the one in charge of your safety. He has given his word on that, and I am inclined to believe," she explained.
"I was made to know that you all desired safety during this upcoming mission's since you weren't getting anything in return. Only because of this reason did I decide to show you how helpless you are before me. Still, we'll be working as a team," Noah chipped in his side of the explanation and saw that those experts could only nod.
He saw this and shook his head inwardly. Surely they had doubts, but his display had been enough to pass a few points. He was above and beyond them.
"That's that. Do you all agree on this?" Elder Ezra continued, furrowing her brows a bit. Their answer at that point would determine how she would move forward. After all, she already had locations that required purging.
All twelve experts glanced at Noah then back at the elder. Since they were not bound by any oaths, they could decide to leave at any time. The first mission would be the determinant for other mission's.
They each nodded at some point and a wide smile appeared on the elder face. Noah remained unfazed, however. Things had gone according to his plan. But he knew he would need to gain their trust on the first mission. He risked losing them, or else.
Not that he cared to begin with. Even if he had been sent alone, Noah felt sure he would take on whatever was thrown at him.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe only issue remained the interference of the immortals and their people. They could act as distractions. He also wouldn't underestimate them.
"Allow me to speak to them," Elder Ezra revealed waving her hand at Noah who disappeared and found himself outside of the building.
Its outsides had remained the same.
Noah took a deep breath, allowing his gaze to fall on the empty area around him. A transparent barrier existed that shielded that area from the violent clouds all around them.
He believed if he dived into that environment he would reach the position of the said magical beast. He simply didn't know what to expect.
Muffled rumbling sounds reached his ears and he fell into a bit of thought. Merely the days he had spent within the cultivation room had made him desire to explore the vastness of the world again.
He wanted to return to the battlefield and witness it. He wished to participate in the raid that would occur in less than a week but understood that his wishes might not come to be.
He would be too obvious even if he didn't want to.
"I have become too flashy in battle. Only locations far away from the public eye can see my power. Things might go wrong if not." He muttered shaking his head.
Noah spent a few minutes before Elder Ezra called upon him again. The countenances of the experts were bright, making Noah wonder what had transpired. Still, he didn't care, since Elder Ezra cut to the chase.
They would carry out their missions as quickly as possible and in the shortest amounts of time. She began an explanation. Showing just how far back she had planned.
