Chapter 111 Instead of stopping, Xavier sneered. "Looks like Claude doesn't love you very much. How long has he been neglecting you?" This time, Yvette was genuinely provoked. As she regained her senses and raised her hand to strike him again, Xavier seized her wrist. "Hit a nerve there, didn't I?" Xavier asked.

Yvette had no intention of explaining to him. She and Claude had just been friends over the years. "You're not being very picky about your food either. Is it because Daphne doesn't love you as well?" Xavier wasn't the only one who knew how to pick a fight.

Xavier mocked, "I'm different from you." He had never touched Daphne.

Yvette laughed at that. "What's the difference? We're the same. You think you're better than me? 1 always thought you were a loyal lover, but it seems like that's not the case. Does Daphne know what you've done?" Xavier wasn't angry at all. He didn't answer, he only held Yvette firmly against his chest.

In return, Yvette bit hard into his shoulder. Xavier gasped in pain but didn't let her go. Instead, he leaned over and kissed her.

Over the years, he'd had countless dreams like this.

Yvette hesitated. She knew it wasn't the tto get angry, so she took advantage of the opportunity. She wasn't going to resist anymore.

Xavier couldn't make out Yvette's expression in the dim light. However, he was evidently confused when he sensed the change in her behavior.

He murmured, "Are you... cooperating with me?" Yvette's pupils contracted.

The next moment, Xavier abruptly stopped and reached over to switch on the bedside lamp. Yvette instinctively shielded her body.

Xavier gulped. "It's not like I've never seen your body before." He paused briefly before changing the subject. "Does Claude know how honestly your body responds? Hmm?" Yvette froze in anger and embarrassment as she stared at him in disbelief. Was he just toying with her? When Xavier was done basking in the afterglow, he glanced at Yvette, said nothing more, and got up to go to the bathroom. He took a cold shower for a long time.

Later, he returned to hold Yvette again before falling into a deep sleep.

However, Yvette couldn't sleep at all. Her mind was filled with thoughts of tonight's events and +15 BONUS Xavier's words. She clenched her fists tightly.

When Xavier's grip loosened slightly after stime, she got up and left the room.

Not knowing where to go, she ended up on the balcony. She felt the cold wind and listened to the rain outside.

After a while, she heard the sleeping man murmuring from inside the room.

"Yvette, I'm not feeling well. You heartless woman, you shouldn't have cback..."

Yvette returned to the room and heard him cursing at her. Suddenly, she felt all the years she had spent loving him hadn't been worth it. She wanted to drink. She wanted to...

Standing by the bed in the dim light, she looked at the face she had admired for almost half her life. She suddenly wanted to slap it hard, but in the end, she held herself back. "You're right. I am heartless. I should have let you trample all overagain and again after the first tyou did it. I should have served you forever and never left you, am I right?" Xavier was running a high fever again. As he dazedly listened to Yvette's complaints, he impatiently reached out to her with his eyes closed. Yvette stepped back as she avoided him, then opened the bedroom door and left.

Not long after she walked away, she heard the sound of the man falling heavily to the ground inside the bedroom.

She didn't let it get to her this time. She spent the night on the couch in the living room downstairs. Whem Xavier woke up his head was pounding, and he felt feverish. He realized he was lying on the floor again. He frowned the moment he looked up at the bed and saw no sign of Yvette.

He stepped out of the bedroom and looked out from the second floor. He saw a small figure curled up on the En.
