Chapter 114 Excitement
Abigail was so angry that she left with the thermos flask.
“Pfft.” Behind Abigail, Annalise burst out laughing.
She found it hilarious.
Upon hearing Annalise’s laughter, Abigail was so angry that she stomped away quickly.
“Haha…”
Not long after, she heard Annalise laughing even louder behind her.
Abigail’s face contorted in anger.
“Just wait,” Abigail thought. She would get back at Annalise for everything that had happened.
After Abigail left, Julian looked at Annalise gently and passionately. He imitated her tone. “My dear wife, it’s late.
Let’s go to bed.”
When Annalise heard this, she was so embarrassed that she wished she could find a hole to crawl into.
She immediately said that she wanted to check Samuel’s pulse.
“Okay,” Julian replied with a smile.
Every time Julian saw her shy expression, he became especially tempted.
She knocked on Samuel’s door. “Grandpa, are you asleep?”
“Not yet. Come in,” Samuel said.
He had guessed that Annalise had something to say to him.
Julian was about to hold Annalise’s hand and enter the room.
But Annalise was too embarrassed to let Samuel see them holding hands. She walked past Julian and said to
Samuel, “Grandpa, let me take your pulse.”
“Okay.” Samuel stretched his hand toward Annalise and took the initiative to ask, “Was there a problem with the
soup?”
Annalise focused on taking his pulse and did not speak.
Samuel waited patiently.
After a while, Annalise finished taking his pulse. She said, “To ordinary people, the soup won’t pose any problem.
However, you must not drink it. There are two ingredients inside that will cause a huge problem.”
Samuel nodded. He knew what to do.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJulian asked, “How’s Grandpa?”
Annalise told Julian that Samuel was getting better. As long as he kept taking the medicine, he would surely get
better.
Julian said good night and told Samuel to go to bed early.
Annalise thought, “Why did it feel like something was going on with Julian?”
Julian wanted to hold her hand and lead her out, but she immediately went out herself.
But as soon as she walked out of the living room, Julian still caught her hand.
He led her upstairs.
She felt extremely helpless.
After they went upstairs and no more servants were around, Annalise spoke in a low voice. She sounded a little
resentful, “Let’s not hold hands at home. It doesn’t look very appropriate.”
Julian disagreed. “I’m holding my wife’s hand, and you’re holding your husband’s hand. How is that inappropriate?”
Annalise was speechless. What he said made sense.
Julian smiled. “Time for bed.”
He was so excited. He felt that he could do whatever he wanted tonight.
Annalise tilted her head and glanced at Julian. Why did she feel like he was especially excited tonight?
Was it because he had also won a set of cosmetics in the afternoon?
“Haha!” She suddenly laughed.
Julian felt even more excited when he saw Annalise smile.
He said gently. “Go take a shower.”
“Okay,” Annalise replied.
Julian left the room happily.
Annalise did not realize it at first. She muttered, “Why is he so happy about winning some cosmetics?”
She suddenly thought of something and blushed.
He… must be thinking about that.
Her heartbeat became a little chaotic at the thought.
What a dilemma. She felt that they were moving too fast.
However, they were indeed husband and wife.
Most importantly, she was really in love with him.
“Phew…” She exhaled and went to take a shower.
In the shower, the image in her mind became even clearer.
She even felt the temperature around her begin to rise.
It seemed that as long as it was him, she would not mind. She was even looking forward to it.
“My mind is in the gutter,” she muttered to herself.
Her face was flushed.
She quickly showered and covered herself with a blanket before Julian came back. She curled up into a ball and
pretended to be asleep.
She was so nervous that she forgot to blow dry her hair.
As soon as Julian returned, she saw Annalise curled up in the blanket. Her hair was still wet, and her eyelashes were
fluttering.
He smiled helplessly and went to get the hairdryer. He plugged it in and dried her hair.
“Did you forget to blow-dry your hair?” he asked gently.
“Yes. But I’ll do it myself.” Annalise had no choice but to sit up.
She couldn’t possibly pretend to be asleep when someone was drying her hair.
“I’ll help you.” Julian gently dried Annalise’s hair.
He ran his fingers through her dark hair.
Her hair was as gentle and beautiful as herself.
Annalise sat quietly and let Julian dry her hair.
After her hair was completely dried, it was especially smooth.
Julian pulled the hairdryer aside and said, “Feel it. Is it dry?”
Annalise immediately touched her hair and said. “Yes, it is. Good night, Julian.”
She wanted to sleep with the blanket, but Julian was faster than her. He quickly put down the hairdryer and pulled
her into his arms.
Annalise was speechless. This position felt awkward.
He hugged her and leaned against the headboard, resting his chin on her shoulder. His voice was captivating. “It’s
still early. Let’s chat.”
“About what?” Annalise asked softly.
Wasn’t it awkward to chat, sitting like this?
He kissed her ear.
She felt her entire body heat up.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHe whispered in her ear, “I’ve waited a long time for you to say that you love me. Annie, today is the happiest day
of my life. I love you.”
Annalise’s heart fluttered. She subconsciously leaned into his arms. Her body did not feel so stiff anymore, and she
felt completely at ease.
If something was going to happen, she thought, she wouldn’t want to turn it down. She’d just let things take their
course
“I’m really happy today, too,” she said.
“Does today count as our true anniversary? In the future, let’s treat this day as our wedding anniversary and
celebrate it every year, okay?”
“Okay.”
“One year, two years, five years, ten years. I hope we can live to be 100 years old. At that time, we will celebrate it
with a grand anniversary and tell our grandchildren that Granny and Grandpa will be happy for the rest of their
lives.”
Annalise was really touched. She yearned for it. But she retorted, “How can I live to be 100 years old? Moreover, at
that age, I’ll be so disgusting.”
Julian’s lips landed on Annalise’s cheek and earlobe.
His warm breath was beside her ear, and the temperature around her was rising.
He sat her on his lap, wrapping his arms around her so she could look at him.
His gaze was gentle, yet scorching.
“Annie,” he called softly.
“Yes?” She was shy, but she still answered softly.
“You’re so beautiful.”
His sweet words made her fall for him even more.
She looked away shyly.
He kissed her lips and closed his eyes.
She responded gently to his kiss, and it became even more passionate.
Everything was so beautiful and natural.
She did not know when she took off her pajamas.
She wrapped her arms around his neck in response to his kiss.
And finally…
