[A/N: If you're confused, it's fine. *Pat*]
While the ranking system for Mana Cores was drastically different from the ranking system that lay behind Essence crystals, it was much easier to understand.
There was a proper order to follow step by step for the cultivation of a Mana Core and one couldn't really skip the ranks in the tempering process of the Mana Core.
However, Essence Crystals had no such criteria.
The Primordial Ascension's System labeled the Ascenders of the fifth Tier 'Demi Gods', the Ascenders of the sixth Tier 'Lesser Gods', and the Ascenders of the highest Tier 'True Gods'.
Under normal circumstances, one would create the foundation to Godhood at the fifth Tier while being a Demi God. Afterward, one would have to create a faux Divinity so that one could comprehend the hidden world behind the meaning of one's abilities, power, and the purpose of one's life.
There were numerous things one would have to consider when desiring to ascend from lesser Godhood to become a True God. One of the most important things was to choose an objective to construct one's Divinity foundation, and finally True Divinity on.
The objective to construct the True Divinity with was not easy to find because it could be literally anything, a part of your body, an ability of yours, your soul, a material, or even any other living being.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtNobody knew exactly how Divinities came into existence, or how the most suitable objective was chosen, but one could easily figure out whether the objective was the most suitable for the individual who desired the creation of the Divinity or not.
And it was because of this simple, yet, confusing fact that the Oracle could tell that Dilan's Origin ability was the objective that was suited the best to him.
As long as Dilan created a Divinity with his Origin ability, Undying would become even stronger than he was right now, and it would only be a matter of time before he would become invincible. Nobody would ever be able to contain him, no matter what they attempted to do.
'Imprisoning him should still be effective though…'
That was the thought the Oracle harbored when recalling what had happened to one of the other Fate Changers who went down the wrong path after certain incidents had occurred.
"I don't intend to create an ordinary Divinity. There is no need for you to be concerned about my advancement to Godhood, let alone worry if I can advance past the Lesser God stage and become a True God right off the bat!" Dilan addressed the Oracle in a dismissive tone.
However, even if he didn't mind her presence anymore, it was not as if he could disregard the things she said before.
'I've learned a lot about the Creation of Divinities, and it was quite obvious that my Origin ability would become the Core component of my Divinity. But will it really be possible for me to become a True God, even if I were to add another main ingredient to my Divinity? Probably not…'
Dilan knew that his Essence Crystal was abnormal and that he could play around with the Primordial Ascension's system if he wanted to.
However, that wouldn't actually help him even if he were to advance to the sixth Tier without the creation of a faux Divinity.
To create both a faux or a True Divinity, one had to advance the Essence Crystal to the Peak. Most Essence Crystals had the same peak, the fifth Tier. Demi Gods were still mortal existences and a status that could be attained by everyone.
Even if it was very difficult, any kind of Ascender could reach the Demi God stage.
However, there were existences whose Essence Crystal was different from others, larger, with a higher capacity, and thus with a higher limit..
Dilan couldn't be certain about it, but given that he had a Divine Occupation, the only one in this Primordial Ascension's generation, he could fit in that category. Other than that, he possessed the Cursed Blessing [Will of the Primordial], which increased the limit of his stats and thus the capacity of his Essence Crystal, literally.
Thus, he was pretty sure that his Essence Crystal belonged to the extraordinary class of Essence Crystals!
What that meant was pretty simple. He could advance through the sixth barrier of the Essence Crystal and advance to the sixth Tier without the creation of a faux Divinity.
He would still be a Demi God, but possess the strength of a Lesser God.
What followed suit was the possibility to create a faux Divinity and become as strong as a True God while actually being a Lesser God.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThis was what Dilan had deduced quite some time ago, but he didn't expect to be able to skip becoming a Lesser God, and instead, become a True God and gain enough strength to topple the older True Gods.
That thought was quite nice and it made much more sense for the Trial of Power to be focused on torturing him for several decades.
'Did she know that Undying would evolve and show signs of being suitable as the main ingredient for my True Divinity? If so, when did she start perceiving the True Essence of my Origin ability?'
Dilan realized that he was getting suspicious once again. After feeling unbearable pain, continuously without a break, for several decades at that, he realized that he was questioning every single of the Oracle's actions.
But that was quite obvious because he didn't know what her desires were, if she had any hidden plans, or if she acted for the sole purpose of supporting the saviors of the Universe.
'Well, whatever. I can finally sense my Divinity's True Essence. That's more than enough reason for me to be happy.' Dilan figured and a sudden thought crossed his mind.
'If I can already sense my Divinity's True Essence…how about I test it out?'
He forgot everything the Oracle had said and excitement spread through him.
If he had to go through so much pain for the Divinity's True Essence, he might as well show it off.
"Oracle, give me my next opponent!"
