There were quite a few things Dilan had to tell Ariel Silvertale but he didn't overdo it right at the start.
Their first encounter in reality had been a little bit and Dilan's misunderstanding had finally been corrected. It was not that Ariel Silvertale wanted him to abandon the system because it would help him to grow much stronger than anyone but because it restricted his growth.
Dilan found out about this in the City of Trials as well, but hearing the same from Ariel had been a little bit different.
It eased his tension while being around the Princess of Haven as well.
This made it much easier for Dilan to answer the first question Ariel Silvertale had asked after he mentioned that he found out about the path he had to take not to waste any of the Divine Essence crystal's potential!
"There is not really much for me to say. I am in possession of the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique, a creation made by the Great Wise. With this technique and the Divine Essence crystal, it won't be a problem to advance to the sixth Tier without a faux divinity.
I will slowly fill my Essence crystal to the brim before I will even consider creating my True Divinity. There is no need for me to get a faux Divinity!"
Dilan's answer was enough reason for Ariel to look at him with slight surprise. She had heard about the Great Wise but that old man was said to have disappeared a long time ago.
Nobody heard about him, yet, Dilan had gotten his hands on a technique from him...that was certainly great luck!
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"That's a different path…for sure…" She murmured to herself before a faint smile appeared on her poker face.
Under normal circumstances, Dilan wouldn't think much when seeing such a small smile, but he got the weird feeling that Ariel's smile was with meaning, multiple at that.
Not long after he saw her faint smile they arrived at the flying island.
Everyone had been informed that Dilan had solved the situation and he had also added a message stating that some Angels would come over.
Nobody greeted them with bright smiles when they landed but that was not something Dilan had expected.
"They suffered a lot because of your war with the Devil's Order. I hope you understand how they feel," Dilan merely said before he lead Ariel Silvertale through the palace.
The Queen's Image appeared by Dilan's side not long after and Ariel's eyes widened.
"She…" Ariel mumbled just for Dilan to nod his head and interrupt her
"Yes, that's one of the Queen of Immortality's Images. She is very nice if you know how to behave around her, am I right?"
Dilan looked at the Queen's Image, who returned his gaze without any emotions in her eyes.
"You don't know how to treat me either."
"..."
"But you're different. Your misbehavior has been accepted!"
"That's good…probably…"
Dilan smiled weirdly but he turned his attention back to Ariel Silvertale once again. She looked at him before her gaze moved to the Queen's Image once again.
It was very unlikely for any kind of God to be oblivious to the existence of the Queen of Immortality, or her Images. However, it was a different thing to know about them and to have talked to them, even less in a nonchalant way Dilan spoke to the Image.
"I know that you have lots of questions, but we should wait until we sit somewhere comfortable. Answering everything will probably take some time."
Ariel was about to agree to Dilan when she sensed that more than a dozen Demi Gods appeared in their way. None of them looked at her with a smile, let alone pleasant thoughts flashing through their mind. It was quite obvious that they didn't like the Princess of Haven.
"Why did you accept moving the flying island to the Angel's Haven territory if you knew that your people hate us?" She asked curiously.
"How much is your hate worth if you're dead?" Dilan returned the question with another one.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"The value of hate…if you're dead? I don't k…oh…"
"You can only hate someone when you're still alive. Their hatred is worthless if they're dying here, so I chose the best option to make sure that they can continue to hate!" Dilan answered rather simply before he added another point, "Furthermore, their hate will help them grow, so it might actually be advantageous if we have to rely on the help of the people they hate!"
"But what if they start hating you as well? Being the Leader of a Group, no matter how big, is not easy, even less if everyone hates you! What if they will replace you with another leader?" Ariel pointed out a valid problem but Dilan could only smile at this thought.
"I would gladly accept the replacement!."
He smiled toward his friends and family with a bright smile before he raised his voice.
"DId you guys hear that? If you want to replace me, now is the perfect opportunity!!"
Dilan was glared at by many but most of them only ended up sighing deeply.
"You really are a pain in the ass…" Williams suddenly muttered. Dilan's smile widened in response and he waited for his dismissal, just to hear what he added afterward, "...but you're still the best leader."
"Oh…come on…" Dilan provoked them teasingly, which caused even more groans to resound through the hallway.
However, amongst all the Demi Gods in the group, Yvonne was the first to react differently. She gave him a thumbs up.
"Good job."
Dilan smiled weirdly but he understood what she meant. But, this time it was Ariel who didn't understand what was going on.
"Don't you hate the Angel's Haven Alliance as well?" Dilan thus asked to help out Ariel a little bit.
"Of course, I do. They're annoying and don't care about the humans they've turned into cannon fodder…but you did the right thing, nonetheless…"
