Jake wondered if that version of him experienced something similar in order to become that extremist. Under normal conditions, it was hard to imagine someone turning like that and even attacking and killing those they admired… which was his case with the guild masters.
"The giant bat will spawn in twenty-four hours. I should hurry up and clear this quest before those guys show up… they want to keep an eye on me, but I don't feel like being watched all the fricking time," Jake thought. "Which reminds me… I wonder how those guys are doing… the shock of those dreams probably put them down for a few days, but they aren't the type to let those memories bother them for long."
Their party was well balanced, and all of them had useful skills, so they could complete most challenges. Regardless, Jake recalled that his Deflect is similar to Julian's skills, but he only works on long-ranged attacks and has a high chance of failure at low levels and when the parameters are too low. It was the first time that he found a skill that was similar to an innate one… he couldn't help but wonder if those could evolve and become like the innate one. The system probably won't help with that… the users will have to do that themselves.
While Jake was thinking about such a thing, he saw something weird in the distance. It seemed like something massive was moving… and it looked slightly humanoid. In the end, Jake decided to hit the wolves behind some hills while he approached the area. It didn't take long for Jake to realize that the thing was a group of several iron golems working together and carrying some cages in their hands… it was weird, but… the golems could combine their forms to create a giant robot.
"Well, that certainly isn't something that you see every day," Jake thought.
Jake wasn't close enough to see things from that distance, not even the shape of the iron golems. However, he could see some shadows inside the cages, and he could only assume that they were prisoners and the original species of that world.
"Getting prisoners isn't uncommon, but for them to pull that kind of thing seems like a waste of time," Jake thought. "If the master truly wanted to invade a planet to get prisoners instead of resources, the prisoners must be used to doing something…"

Jake approached enough until he could see the parameters of the enemy. As expected, endurance and strength were their basic parameters, and once again, Jake confirmed that things were escalating way too fast…
"If the monsters keep getting stronger like this, and considering that I don't hunt them for long enough, it will reach a point where they will be impossible to defeat," Jake thought. "I thought that I had the upper hand against others since I don't have to share the experience and coins, but I guess I was wrong…"
The iron golems didn't look like proper monsters. They looked like suits of armor that could be used by giants. Another weird thing was the fact that they could jump and fly for a short while… they looked more like robots than anything since Jake couldn't see a single organic part on them…
After approaching a bit more, Jake confirmed that they used some cables on their back to connect with each other. That was a weird way to join their powers together. Regardless, it was another feature that made him think that they were artificial creatures. Come to think of it. It wasn't the first time he had seen such a thing. Jake recalled the liches and then the machines that apparently used the electric bats to gather energy… the only weird thing was that the system recognized them.
"I suppose the system recognizes everything that is able to use mana…" Jake thought. "They can't produce it, but they are taking the prisoners to the dungeon for that end, apparently."
The people in the cages were quite humanoid. The only thing that they had that humans didn't have was some blue tattoos on their bodies. Regardless, Jake confirmed that the iron golems were leaving and attacking other areas to get prisoners, so they must not have been doing that for long. The only problem was the fact that they were five thousand, and Jake couldn't kill so many of those things… they were too durable, and since they weren't truly alive, he had to destroy them completely.
Sniping them, aiming for their vitals, cutting their parts, and letting them bleed to death… those were all things that Jake was used to doing but wouldn't be useful right now.
"Since they are mechanical, I suppose splitting them in half completely will make them unable to repair themselves. Still, even that will require a lot of energy to pull off," Jake thought.
The dungeon entrance was located at a hill, so Jake assumed that it would go downward. Perhaps his best bet would be to dash there with Flash and then face the enemies one at a time. The corridors would, at most, let two of them cross side by side, after all. The only problem is that there was a massive wall of them on his path. Still, when Jake was thinking of doing that, he noticed some movements coming from East… when he looked in that direction, he saw a group of two hundred people flying toward the dungeon.
Jake wondered if he could use those guys as a diversion, but then he changed his mind when they began to fire lightning bolts, flamethrowers, and ice cannons through their hands. They were pretty strong… Jake also realized that their blue tattoos were shining, while the prisoners didn't… Regardless, suddenly getting closer to the dungeon now would be dangerous since he might become the target of both enemies.

While rubbing his chin thoughtfully, Jake wondered why he couldn't see the names of those guys… the only explanation would be that they were crystal monsters as well… or perhaps enemies of the system. In any case, at first, he thought that the tattoos was a racial trait or something, but it seemed that they just had to store mana more than others. Thanks to that, their spells could even freeze and melt the robots… still, their numbers were insufficient.
Jake saw the last group of prisoners being taken to the dungeon by a small number of iron golems. The vast majority was trying to take down those Alrid people… Jake truly didn't want to get involved, but in the end, he sighed and used Flash to its max power to approach the prisoners.
"The hell I am doing…" Jake thought while clenching his teeth.
Jake had his hands full with his own problems, so he couldn't understand his own actions. In any case, he enhanced his sword with dark flames and then split in half with a single vertical swing the three golems that were carrying the cage and the prisoners. Despite the situation, those guys were lying down as if they didn't have the energy to do anything… however, it was because the cage was a magic item.
Jake had a hard time cracking the cage with a single sword strike, but he managed to pull that off when he used the dark flames. When he saw some of the enemies turning around, Jake decided to be a bit harsher. He grabbed the prisoners that were unconscious and then threw them at the guys fighting the iron golems. After that, he dashed to the dungeon. He did his part, if they would recover their allies before they fell on the ground was no longer his problem.
When he entered the dungeon, Jake saw the prisoners being recovered, and then those guys began to retreat. Jake decided to treat that as his good deed of the year…
Eventually, half of the golems began to chase those guys, and the other half began to move to fight Jake. Unfortunately, speed wasn't their forte, so reaching them was out of the question. Still, facing half of those three thousand was more than enough to keep Jake entertained.
