Durability: 100/100
As soon as he selected yes, Jake was teleported to some kind of grove. Before he could even check things, he received those notifications and obtained a new item. The magic box looked like a magic cube, but it wasn't colorful. It was completely black.
"Well now… what do we have here?" Jake asked as he looked around.
Jake thought he would be teleported to a new city that would look like an expanse of the first part of the game, which the system called tutorial, but it seemed his guess was wrong. Not to mention, he didn't receive any new missions, so he had not a single clue of what to do next. However, he had to forget that for a moment when Lana and Louise suddenly appeared behind him.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"You guys…" Jake said, visibly surprised.
"Come! Come! I am ready!" Lana said while she was showing a weird martial pose.
"It seems we were teleported to a calm place," Louise said while looking around. "You can relax now, Lana."
"Phew… I thought we were going to face something as soon as we appeared," Lana said after taking a deep breath. "Still, this place looks more normal than any of those maps."
Congratulations! You have obtained a portable crystal server.
Suddenly, those three gained a mini-sized version that could fit on their hands of the crystal server. It looked like things were going to change more than a little bit since those crystals were what granted them the missions that they could accept.
"Ouch… Ouch…" Jake muttered when his left arm suddenly began to hurt a lot more than before.
"What is with you so suddenly?" Lana asked. "Are you in more pain than before?"
"I suppose this is what change the difficulty means," Jake said. "I feel two times more wounded than before, but at the same time…"
"You feel two times lighter, I also feel the same," Louise said. "It is almost like we were back on Earth instead of the game."
While Lana was healing Jake's left arm, he decided to check his crystal, and much to his surprise, the previous missions weren't available. However, he found a few weird ones that didn't look like the previous ones.

"Well now… this is interesting," Jake said. "The list is pretty small since we just arrived in this stage of the game, but I guess it will grow."
"Considering what we read earlier, I was expecting to find something more bombastic, but I can't see any truth right now," Louise said. "Shall we select a mission and see the real changes?"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"I am hungry…" Lana said. "Can't we see those things after dinner?"
"There are some orange-like fruits here, you can eat them," Jake said. "Rather than that, I guess we should get as much as possible and then check this place before selecting any mission."
Jake could make many fruits drop from the trees with his sword, and after eating one of them, he confirmed that it was a citric fruit, but it didn't taste like orange… it was like a mix of banana and lemon quite weird, but not so bad.
After getting some of them, Jake thought of storing them in his magic box, and when he did it so, the fruit disappeared. When he wished to have the fruits back, they returned… apparently, that was the power of the magic box.
"Quite interesting," Jake nodded to himself in amazement.
"I don't see an option in the crystal that grant us the power to return home," Lana said.
"… Luke must be somewhere around here, let's ask him and see what we can do about it," Jake said after a long sigh.
It was understandable that Lana wanted to confirm that, but Jake was more worried about other things. The mission details revealed that apparently, he had to go to other planets… was that even possible? Jake knew that reality is often weirder than fiction, but he didn't want to believe that the game was actually that real. Still, the pain that he was feeling, the fruit that he had never seen before… the behavior of the monsters and bosses, everything made him think now that he wasn't inside a game. That would explain why the special mission name was called mind and body. They are together, just like in reality…
After taking some provisions, the group left the grove and then found themselves staring at an incredibly long grassland. There were no signs of civilization anywhere, no signs of monsters either. They could see some mountains in the distance, but it will take days to reach them. Now that they thought about it, they seemed pretty big and too far away to be seen…
"What now?" Lana asked.
"You sure like to ask that…" Jake said and then crossed his arms. "If other humans were teleported to this place, I suppose they were teleported randomly since we can't find any signs of them. We will have to search for a while."
"Wouldn't be easier to find them in one of those missions?" Louise asked. "If I were them in this situation, I would look for newbies using that method."
Jake nodded. It made sense. If they weren't inside a game and the tutorial was over, maybe some things changed, and people could accept missions without the fear of starting over by failing or dying. Well, if it was real, they should fear death more than a little bit now…
