Chapter 239 Handy Cape And Return To Town
Since Arthur didn't need to spend time butchering the beast corpses he saved a lot of time.
He could butcher them at the end with multiple corpses. That way it would be a lot more fast and efficient. Plus he would even have a proper equipment like a butchers table and knives which would make it cleaner and better.
Though he also knew that some of the beasts could actually be sold whole as corpses and the merchants would buy them if they were in a decent condition. Some of the beast meats could be sold for a low amount, but when a whole corpse was brought in a decent amount could still be obtained.
The taste of the beast meat varied and not all of them could be consumed by humans, but for most animals it was the same. Beast meat served as good and cheap feed for pigs and other carnivorous that was also very nutritious.
Usually only large guilds that had huge manpower would do sales of whole beast corpses as they had the carriages needed for it. If individual players tried it, their profits would not be worth the effort put in hauling them.
But with the Night's Abyssal Cape, the only price Arthur needed to pay was some mana which he could regenerate naturally. Even with the multiple corpses he was storing, Arthur didn't have to manage his MP much since he wasn't utilizing his skills as much.
The beasts were now weak enough that he didn't need to rely on skills to kill them. Most could simply be killed by his basic attacks, which still hit in vulnerable spots killing the beasts fast.
The same was the case for Brambles who simply rammed them with his horn. That was enough to crush their bones and smash their brains.
With such a powerhouse duo, the denizens of the Trunel Woods had a nightmarish experience.
The two mowed through the forest without stopping and exited it at a record pace.
"HAHA! We're finally out!" Arthur cheered with his hands raised.
He looked at the time and saw that he still had about 40 minutes left to log out time.
"Going from the mountains all the way to the exit of the Trunel woods in less than 6 hours… that might not be the fastest but its fast enough." Arthur nodded his head.
If one had a horse or other fast mounts they could cover the same distance in less time. Of course a higher leveled character could simply rely on their own body and speed to run through it all.

The beast turned into a sliver of light and disappeared into Arthur's body.
'The experience gain from the journey back wasn't much but the coin gain surely will be.' Arthur thought before looking at the storage.

Arthur had obtained a decent amount of beast corpses which even included a few Trunel Orcs.
'I guess there were a few stragglers that were left alive huh…' Arthur reckoned.
He had thought that the war between the bandits and the Orc had killed them all but a few distant ones that were roaming in the forest had survived it.
Though now they had been killed by Arthur the same.
Arthur covered the rest of the distance and soon arrived at the entrance gate of Roran town.

Unlike what Arthur remembered it to be, there were a lot more people here now. While the security was still high, there was no lack of players going in and out of the gate after showing their IDs.

"Guess a lot more players arrived in these two days." Arthur guessed it was probably due to the effect of his guide.
He walked up to the gate where the guards recognized him right away.
"Oh? Adventure Arzhur you're back after a while." The guard spoke.
"Yeah, had a mission far away. Took a while to travel back." Arthur replied.
"How far… don't tell me you went beyond the Trunel Woods or at the end of the Ocher plains?" The guard asked with a chuckle.
"Huh, you're close. I went to the mountains behind the Trunel Woods." Arthur replied.
"Damn, even I've never gone that far." The Guard replied before turning to his companions. "Have you gone there Bob?"
"Only once. It was one of the training missions captain Fredric takes the new guards on. He had us climb the mountains in all our gear and said its endurance training.
It took us nearly four days to get up there. Finding a path was hell." The guard named Bob replied.
"It sure was tough for me too." Arthur replied, not mention any of the other 'unnatural' things that had happened.
If the NPCs were to discover it, it was better if they did through someone else.
Arthur was wary of tellings anyone about it due to the silver eyed Mage. He didn't know what kind of trouble would come from the rumors that might spread from his words.
With a NPC that was in the 300s it was better to be safe than sorry.
"Anyways, can you let me in. I gotta go wash up and rest." Arthur spoke.
"Sure man. Go on, you deserve the rest." The guards let Arthur in and the man quickly went to the inn.
Arthur barely had ten minutes left till log out and as such didn't think it would be worth going to the guild at this time.
