"Hahaha!" Arthur laughed in joy seeing that the process had succeeded.
Chitter~
The Long Horn Bramble Beetle had now calmed down and let out a low chittering sound. A moment later it turned around, facing Arthur. Its dome like black eyes were rather emotionless and not much could be felt from them.
But Arthur knew that the beast had really been tamed.
"Show Pet Status!" Arthur called out.

Looking at the status of the Long Horn Bramble Beetle Arthur was pleased.
The status of mobs could actually vary a bit even if they were the same species and even the same level. The stats didn't work the same way they did for the players after all. Thus seeing that the stats were like this, Arthur was pleased.
"These are nice… Its toughness is higher than I thought. If it was not a passive mob, it could have easily mowed down a player." Arthur said as he looked at the stats.
Chitter~
The Long Horn Bramble Beetle came close to Arthur and let him touch its head.
"There you go." Arthur petted the beast before deciding to return. 'I should barely be able to reach the village before it's time to log out.' He thought.
"Return pet!" Arthur used a command.
In the next moment, the Long Horn Bramble Beetle disappeared into a wisp of light and entered Arthur's body.
The players could summon the pets whenever they needed. It was rather convenient and made it a surprise for others whenever a pet was brought out.
"Only one more thing left to do…" Arthur started to make his way back to Kestrel Village.
On the way, he grabbed some of the pelts he had harvested, intending to sell them off to repair the equipment.
'I'll come back to get the rest of them tomorrow. It'll also serve to help me gain more experience so that I can get to level 10.' Arthur thought to himself.
Level 10 was the threshold as well as the cap of how strong one could get in the newbie village. It was the level at which one could leave the village and get a class for themselves. To Arthur, reaching Level 10 would be needed for the next part of the plan.
"Thankfully I'm already close enough." Arthur took a look at his experience bar which was at the 60% mark. 'I should be able to reach level 9 here by grinding here, but reaching level 10 would be hard. The experience gained would be too low. I'll have to head to the northern forest again.' He thought.
On the way back, Arthur saw that the number of players had fallen by quite a bit which was understandable as they couldn't log back in after dying several times. Not to mention, it was already too late for them to reach this area from the village if they had died recently.
"At least they cleared out most of the area." Arthur didn't need to worry about mobs interrupting him.
Despite all that, it still took him two hours to get back to Kestrel Village.
>Player Arzhur will be forced to log out in 10 minutes!<
"And here comes the warning." Arthur saw the notification.
He wasn't the only one either, as all players had gotten the notification.
"There's a forced log out?"
"Can they do that?"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Didn't you read the manual before using the Dream Pod?"
"Aww man… just one more hour."
"I'm so close to level up! Just gimme half an hour to kill some mobs."
"Shit, if they make me break my flow by doing this, I won't be able to sleep at night."
"You're already sleeping, you dumb fuck."
It was clear that there were many people who had liked the game and were disinterested in leaving just yet. Still, it wasn't something that was within their control and there was nothing they could do to stop it anyways.
"It's always like this… It'll take them a while before they become lax on the log out conditions." Arthur muttered to himself as he made his way to an armorer.
It was near the inn, thus he wasn't worried about not being able to log out in time.
"Hello, can you please repair my armor?" Arthur asked the armorer who seemed to be closing up the shop.
"Huh? This late?" The armorer replied feeling irritated.
"Of course not." Arthur shook his head. "You can give it to me later. I'll just leave it here." He clarified.
"Mmnhmm… sure. That'll work." The Armorer said before looking at the pelts that Arthur was carrying. "Are you gonna sell those too? They seem to be of decent quality." He asked.
"Ah yes. Can I pay with these?" Arthur asked as it would save him time.
"Sure." The armorer took the pelts from Arthur and checked them quickly.
"These will be more than enough. Do you want it in coins now?" the man asked.
"Rather than that, can you reinforce my armor pieces?" Arthur asked instead.
"I can yes. These should cover for that." The Armorer replied.
"Thanks. I'll come to get it in the day." Arthur said before quickly taking his leave.
Looking at the clock, he could see that he barely had three minutes left.
He quickly made his way to the booked room at the Inn before the clock hit midnight.
>Announcement: All players will now be logged out!<
Just as Arthur sat down on the bed, he felt his vision change. The familiar streaks of colors swept past his eyes before darkness replaced it.
