Arthur didn't know if it would work or not but he had a great hunch that it would. Especially after hearing Zaddreus's words, that everything in Morpheus Online had a great meaning to it and nothing was there just as a 'flavor'.
The description of Dragon's Insight was clear within Arthur's mind. He wanted to see if it could really show hidden information and his first target was the Synchronization stat.
>Dragon's Insight Activated!<
>Skill has been successfully executed!<
——
Target: Synchronization stat
Info: Narrowing the distance between real and virtual, the Synchronization enhances the immersion of the player. The higher the stat is, the better the player's control will be on the character as well as their abilities. At higher levels, the borders between reality and illusion will weaken and at the peak, they will shatter.
——
"This…" Arthur couldn't believe that it really was as he had thought.
His hunch had been correct, and the stat did indeed increase the immersion of a player.
"No… it's not just immersion… the pain I felt… and the hoarse feeling in my throat… this is basically what I would feel in my real body." Arthur reckoned.
It was a concept that was terrifying as well as amazing.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWhile the Dream Pod V3 was said to have been capable of great feats, Arthur didn't think it could reach this point.
'Is this even the doing of the Dream Pod V3 or something more?' with what Zaddreus had said, Arthur was leaning more towards the latter.
The game had a mystery that he needed to uncover and even his own world was filled with questions. Zaddreus had given him thoughts that turned into thousands of questions. Questions that he was now yearning to be answered.
Though the information about the Synchronization stat did make him a bit alarmed.
'Does this mean the higher it goes the more pain I will feel? And what does it mean by it'll shatter at the peak?' Arthur had ambiguous thoughts about the description.
He could take them as literal, but then again, he felt like there was a greater meaning to them.
"Is this all there is to it? Can I get more details?" Arthur attempted to use the skill again.
>Dragon's Insight Activated!<
>Skill has failed to be executed!<
"Seems like not…" Arthur let out a sigh.
A few seconds later though, more notifications popped up.
>Foreign Data Stream has been nullified<
>Data Anomaly has disappeared<
>System isolation will be ended!<
"Guess that means the protection given by Zaddreus has ended too now." Arthur reckoned. "Well, the reason for the protection is finished too. I got through it after all." He muttered.
There was no reason to worry since Zaddreus was gone and he was now following the things set by the game itself. There was no reason for the AI to interfere now since the anomaly was resolved on its own.
"Huu… guess there's a lot more me to explore…" Arthur muttered before standing up.
~Rumble~
But just as he did, the floor under him shook as a low rumbling sound was heard.
"What the—" Arthur quickly stepped back as he saw a crack appearing on the floor.
His passive ability to see in the darkness was helping now, as he wouldn't have been able to see something like this before.
~Humm~
The crack on the floor expanded before it turned into a meter long line. Then from this, it turned into a curve, forming a circle after a few seconds.
~tremble~
"It's opening…" Arthur saw a circular gap appearing on the floor.
But that wasn't all, as a faint light could be seen coming from it. He watched it for a few seconds, as the light got brighter and brighter.
"Something's coming out," Arthur noticed.
Narrowing his eyes, he could faintly see a circle of light.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"No wait… that's a magic circle!" Arthur noticed the fine runes that were contained within the magic circle.
The circle was less than a meter in size, just a bit smaller than the size of the hole it was coming out from. Arthur watched it rise up, and saw that it was actually three magic circles!
From the top, they looked to be overlapping, thus it made it hard to tell them apart. But now that he saw them up close, there were really three of them
"What's this though?" Arthur wondered.
>Dragomancer class specific weapon shall now be given<
As if on prompt, the notification appeared.
~Humm~
He then watched the magic circles tremble, as an object materialize between them. The object was about two meters long and was seemingly appearing out of thin air.
Arthur watched it closely as its form became clearer by the second. And after a minute later it fully appeared!
"This… is this a spear?" Arthur muttered.
The handle of the spear was made out of black metal with fine ridges carved at the top and bottom of it. The ridges looked to be made for grip but didn't seem to be uncomfortable. The base of the spear had a small spike that had four sides.
The spike was different from the shaft though, having a silvery grey color. It was clear that they were made from different metals. A small yellow band was attached at the base of the spike, joining the shale and the spike.
This band was also of a different metal, with fine runes carved them. Arthur couldn't recognize them either, finding them to be similar to the ones he had seen in the magic circles earlier. He couldn't help but feel that it was a different magic system than what was used in the game usually.
Plus since it had only appeared here so far, Arthur couldn't help but associate it with his class.
Looking up, the most stunning point was the spear's head.
Unlike normal spears, it was rather elaborate, having ten notches on it.
The blade was about eight centimeters wide and tapered, but there were ten notches of different lengths on it. It almost looked like someone had made cuts on it.
