Arthur was currently staring at his smartphone, his eyes wide with shock.
"No transactions?" Arthur read the clear words. "How can there be no transactions when I just got 1 UC?" he was confused.
Whenever there was a transaction, whether it be debit or credit, there would be a record of where it came from and where it went. This was something that would always be there, but Arthur seemed to have found a stunning exception.
"A traceless deposit… It can actually do something like this…" Arthur had been thinking that even if he could transfer coins into UC, it might still end up being detected by the banks.
But now seeing that it was traceless he didn't know what to think of.
'The financial system is completely dependent on the automated systems that are run by AI. Even the bank staff cannot peek at the internal ledgers. While the system does report suspicious transactions automatically, but if the Transaction is traceless in the first place, it will never alert them.' Arthur realized.
He sat there thinking about all the possibilities. It also made him aware of what other things he could do with this.
"Hang on a second, is it possible to Transfer back into the game?" Arthur thought of another aspect.
He looked into the options and saw that there was indeed a transfer option. But when he clicked on it, a notification popped up.
>Synchronization is insufficient for a real world to in game transfer<
While it was a bit disappointing, Arthur wasn't entirely discouraged.
"It's simply inefficient… I should be able to do this later on." Arthur muttered to himself.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIf anything, it only made him want to increase the Synchronization as soon as possible.
'Right now transferring the coins into UC isn't that good. But if I could do it the other way around… I might be able to do a lot of things not possible other wise.' Arthur was wondering of the ways he could exploit this.
At the start, getting coins was a difficult thing and reaching 1 gold coin was already going to take a couple weeks for most players. And there was no guarantee if they would even be able to keep up that as savings as they would constantly have to spend on consumables as well as on things such as the maintenance of their weapons and armor.
But for Arthur, gaining the UC in the real world wouldn't be that hard. While he might be broke right now, it didn't mean that he didn't have means of earning. In fact, as he waited there was already a sum of money being generated by him.
'If I can transfer a thousand or so UC into the game, they'll turn into about 10 Gold Coins. With that I'll be able to get some really good gear that'll give me an edge.' Arthur thought to himself.
While he could get the gold coins himself in the game, it was still something that would take him a bit of an effort and time.
"Sigh! I shouldn't lose track of things. I still have the loan I need to pay off for the Dream Pod V3 and also get a better place to live." Arthur said to himself, calming down after that.
His thoughts became concise and he thought of other ways he could still make use of it.
'Maybe… when the players start buying in game coins, I might be able to do something.' Arthur thought about another method.
While Morpheus Online didn't allow one to convert real world money to in game money, they would eventually do so later. The only difference was that the rate for the in game currency wasn't set. It would actually depend on the demand.
Thus early on in the game, the value of in game coins in UC was quite high. So much so that, Arthur would be losing out if he converted his coins into UC using the interface.
"Let's get some starting funds for now. I'll think about that later. I still need to see the actual prices before I can even plan for the conversions." Arthur muttered to himself.
He sat back down in the Dream Pod V3 and logged into the forums.

Arthur could see several posts there, but at the top was none other than the post he had made.

The first post that he had made was still at the top and was performing better than before.
"For twenty four hours, this is pretty good." Arthur muttered to himself.
After all, the game had only been launched for 2 days, thus the players were still trying to figure out the basics.
But Arthur's goal wasn't this post, but the second post that he had made. He had scheduled it to go live after a certain time and it was up already.

The second post that Arthur had made was a paid post and was targeting something that the players would utterly be needing at the start of the game: coins.
There was no lack of players that would lost all their money in just repairing their equipment as they simply kept on dying and their equipment breaking. Thus having a significant amount of it was a basic need.
10 silver coins wasn't that much of an amount to Arthur, but to newbies it would be a massive attraction.
And for post like this, Arthur had set a price that would be affordable to literally every player.
The cost to view the post was merely 1 UC.
"Let's see how much the post generated, shall we?" Arthur looked into the revenue settings.
