Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives
Chapter 72 Blocked!Villain Ch 72. Blocked!
'Level 85? That's clearly out of our league!' he thought. Moreover, as he studied the monster, he couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance between Dracula and Larissa. There was a sense of familiarity about the way the boss held himself that suggested he had Larissa's formidable ability. Her ability to drain her enemies' blood and replenish her own health. If it was right, then they were surely doomed.
As Allen was lost in thought, he felt a slight movement beside him and turned to see Zoe staring intently at Dracula. She tilted her head at Allen, a hint of amusement in her tone.
"So is he some kind of Larissa's husband, boyfriend, or brother?" she asked, a playful glint in her eyes.
Allen couldn't help but chuckle at her irreverent comment. While Vivian turned to look at Zoe, surprised by her light heartedness in the face of such danger.
Zoe grinned innocently, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Larissa is a vampire queen, right?" she said. "And he," she continued, pointing at the boss monster, "is Dracula. So... They are one of a kind," she said simply. Zoe remained unfazed, her carefree attitude a stark contrast to the gravity of the situation.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtVivian's voice broke through the joke. "So should we try to land a hit or two on him?" Vivian asked, her eyes gleaming with the thrill of the challenge.
Due to Vivian's words, Allen felt a surge of excitement, despite the obvious risk involved. The thought of facing off against such a formidable foe was a challenge that he couldn't resist, and he knew that his companions felt the same way. At least he wanted to know how far he could land damage to Dracula.
Allen stood there, his eyes scanning the battlefield before him. The sheer number of monsters was overwhelming, and he knew that they were no match for such a horde. Despite his desire for a challenge, he couldn't deny the fact that this was a battle they couldn't possibly win. He didn't want to throw himself out without logic and careful consideration.
"With that many monsters, I don't think it's such a good idea," he said, his voice calm and measured. "Indeed we only waste 1% of our EXP if we die, but I have no interest in getting into fights that I obviously can't possibly win."
He wasn't being arrogant or prideful, but rather pragmatic. He knew that with such a large number of enemies, they wouldn't even be able to get close to Dracula, let alone defeat him. The boss's minions, the bats, were also formidable foes, and even he wasn't sure if they could touch them.
Zoe nodded in agreement with Allen's assessment. "I think we can come back later," she said, her voice calm and collected. "This hunting ground belongs to us. The boss monster isn't going anywhere," she reassured Vivian. She also felt the same urge to try her power, but with 50 level gap, it was the same as suicide.
As a player who often engaged in player vs player battles, Zoe knew when to back down. She understood the importance of balance and fair play in a duel, and she knew that with such a level gap and being outnumbered, they would surely lose.
Vivian listened to their conversation, a sense of disappointment evident in her expression. She had been looking forward to taking on a boss monster, but she knew that Zoe and Allen were right. It was a battle they couldn't win, at least not at this time.
With a heavy heart, Vivian nodded in agreement with Zoe and Allen's assessment.
"I will open the portal," Allen said.
Allen took a deep breath and used his Dark Portal skill. A black swirling vortex appeared a few meters in front of him, ready to take them to the Cursed Crypts.
But before they could get in, they could feel the shiver upon their spine. Their hearts were beating fast in tense. They could feel the chill run down their skin.
As if on cue, the Ghouls let out a blood-curdling howl that echoed through the darkened tower. Their eyes glowed with an eerie light and all of them stared at Allen and his companions as if they were prepared to attack.
Not only that, the sound of hooves filled the air. The Headless Horses stamped their feet in anger. Their ghostly forms seemed to shimmer in the dim light, and their manes and tails whipped around them.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmBut it was Dracula who truly captured their attention. His imposing form stood tall and proud, his red eyes glinting in the darkness, looking at them. He let out a roar that seemed to shake the very ground beneath them as if he was ordering his minions to attack.
Allen's heart raced as he realized the terrible truth: Dracula and his minions possessed the ability to detect skills. In other words, his simple portal skill had angered the whole horde.
In an instant, he knew that they needed to act fast if they were to escape with their lives.
"Go! Now!" he shouted, his voice ringing out in the darkness.
Zoe and Vivian snapped out of their shock and fear.
In a rush, the monsters began to run toward the cemetery exit on the other side of the clearing. It gave Alen and the others the chance to escape. Zoe and Vivian reached the portal first, their panic lending them speed and agility. They dove into the swirling vortex of energy at the same time, disappearing from sight in an instant.
Allen followed close behind, his heart pounding with adrenaline. He was the last since once he got inside the portal would disappear. But just as he reached the portal, a Ghost materialized in front of him, blocking his way.
The Ghost was small, but it was cunning and menacing, its spectral form flickering in the dark. Its eyes glowed with a cold, blue light, and its mouth twisted into a malevolent grin.
