Chapter 311 Kill Him for One Billion Dollars

Seth gave Lewis a side glance.

Lewis was unruffled. He seemed not to have the intention of elaborating more on the topic.

Seth laughed instead. “You won’t learn about these just by listening to rumors. It seems you have an

extensive network, Mr. Faust.”

Faust shrugged but didn’t deny it. He roamed the sea all year long, and it was natural that he would

learn about all sorts of information.

Soon, his subordinate reported to him, “Faust, we can’t find her.”

The cruise ship didn’t have any surveillance cameras. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Faust frowned. “Search again, carefully!”

His subordinate hesitated before he nodded and backed down.

Faust looked at Lewis and Seth, slightly embarrassed. “Sirs, can it be that the person you’re looking for

isn’t on this ship? Now that the cruise ship is stuck here, it will be difficult for me if the cruise is

delayed.”

Seth replied, “We told you we’ll leave when we find the person we’re looking for. Since we’re here, it

means she must be here too. If you regard this matter as too much trouble, we can conduct our own

search.”

Faust’s face darkened, and the atmosphere stifled, but it wasn’t wise to initiate a fight with them.

Shortly after, he said, “Then we’ll look for half an hour longer. If we can’t find her by then, we’ll resume

the cruise.”

“Sure.” Lewis leaned back onto the sofa as he lit a cigarette.

Seth kept quiet. He thought a heated argument was inevitable, but everything worked out. better than

expected.

It seemed Kiran and Faust were unrelated. If that was the case, they wouldn’t need those men waiting

on the speedboats.

Kiran stood on the top deck, leaning against the railing. The sea breeze ruffled his hair as he lit a

cigarette.

The speedboats were still there, enclosing the cruise ship.

Draco approached him and lit a cigarette too. He leaned against the railing and asked, “Kiran, what are

you up to?”

Kiran’s brows were tightly knitted. It was obvious he was in a bad mood.

Suddenly, he asked, “How many men did you bring?”

“Half of the people inside are my men. What are you going to do?”

Kiran held the cigarette between his fingers, and the sea breeze soon took the smoke with it. He looked

at the waiting speedboats and faintly said, “Didn’t expect him to bring so many.

I’ve underestimated him.”

Dealing with Lewis was more difficult than he expected.

Lewis was hundreds of miles away from Hardington yet could still command his forces.

That was all the more reason for Kiran not to let him leave.

Kiran said, “Hide that mute well. Faust won’t waste too much time on them. Once the cruise ship

moves, find a way to kill Lewis.”

Since everything was peaceful between Faust and Lewis, he could only take matters into his own

hands.

Draco was stunned. He glanced again at the speedboats. “Kill him? Who is he?”

Kiran turned to look at him, his eyes glinting beneath his glasses. “Don’t mind his identity. They’re the

ones who came after us. Just kill and discard him into the sea-who will know?”

There was no better place than the ocean to commit a murder.

Kiran continued, “Kill him, and I’ll give you one billion dollars.”

Draco widened his eyes. He thought he had heard it wrongly. He thought to himself, “One billion

dollars! Whose life would be worth that amount?”

But then, no matter who he was, he would even kill the king for one billion dollars. His job required him

to put his life on the line anyway.

Besides, they were on a ship; it’s easy to clear all traces of murder. This was easy money.

“Alright! I’ll even kill the king for that amount!” Draco hurled his cigarette butt into the sea

and entered the cabin.

He glanced at Josephine, deep in sleep on the sofa, and asked his subordinate to take her somewhere

to hide her. He mustn’t let those people find her.

Half an hour later, it turned out the search yielded no results.

Faust said, “Sirs, we really can’t find her. According to our deal earlier, please get your men to move

aside. When the cruise ship starts moving again, you can look for her on your own.”

Lewis tilted his chin, signaling Seth to instruct those speedboats to make way.

Seth took out his phone and went outside to make the call.

Soon, the speedboats slowly backed down. In the night, they looked like scattered flower petals,

dispersing outward in sync.

Shortly after, they cleared a path for the cruise ship.

The ship slowly restarted and continued to go on its way.

Faust kept them company for a while. They had nothing to talk about, so Faust excused himself. He

went out and ordered someone to keep an eye on Lewis and Seth, afraid that they would stir trouble.

Although the speedboats had been dismissed, who knew what schemes were running through their

heads? He couldn’t verify their identities now, but the presence of the speedboats told. him that he

shouldn’t underestimate them.

Faust could only take one step at a time.

After Faust left, Seth said, “It seems Kiran is hell-bent on killing you.

He didn’t understand why Kiran would take Josephine here, but now he did.

Kiran intended to lure Lewis here and kill Lewis through Faust’s hands.

When Lewis arrived with his men, Faust wouldn’t allow them to cause trouble in the cabin, and a

conflict was sure to break out between Lewis and Faust. If that happened, Kiran could fish in troubled

waters.

If the conflict between Lewis and Faust didn’t happen, Lewis must take a step back and stay on the

ship to look for Josephine. Kiran’s subordinate could still take action either way.

Being on the sea was perfect for them to commit the murder and clear all traces of it. No one would

ever find out.

Playing with a lighter, Lewis’ gaze lingered at a spot thoughtfully.

Soon, he stopped fiddling with his lighter and asked, “Have our men boarded the ship?”

Seth nodded slightly. “Should be, but not all of them.”

Lewis abruptly stood and walked out. “Split up and search.”

“Don’t die too soon,” Seth joked. However, he meant it. Lewis hadn’t recovered fully from his injuries. If

he got into a fight with that mute by his side, there was no guarantee that he wouldn’t die.

He wasn’t concerned about Lewis. He was just worried that Kiran would come after him after Lewis fell.

Seth originally planned to watch them bite each other’s necks and benefit from that, but Lewis

trapped him and dragged him into this.

No one could tolerate someone who betrayed them; that was the same for Kiran as well.

Seth wasn’t interested in being on Kiran’s opposing side for now.

The ship was huge. There were five levels in total and numerous rooms. Looking for a person. here

was like looking for a white cat in a snowstorm.

Kiran, sitting on the sofa, checked his watch.

The atmosphere in this cabin was not the same anymore. Anyone with a discerning eye could sense

the grimness in the room. Although the people here were still playing games and entertaining

themselves, one could easily notice that they were distracted, as if waiting for

someone to come.

“Ten more hours before we leave the borders.” Kiran clicked his tongue. It wasn’t the best timing to

make a move at Lewis, even if he was here now.

“We’ll be there before you know it.” Draco poured himself a glass of wine. He was bored. ” Bring that

mute over. Her husband will die anytime soon. I might as well enjoy it while I can.”

He couldn’t take his mind off that pretty little lady since he laid eyes on her. He would feel tempted

whenever he thought of her helpless, pitiful, crying face.
