Blood gushed out instantly, staining the floor beneath. Lemira's breath hitched at the sight of the vivid red liquid. She couldn't believe Lucian had actually hurt himself! "You've lost your mind?" she exclaimed.

Hogan was equally shocked, hastily snatching the shattered porcelain shard from Lucian's grasp and pressing down on his wrist. "Boss, how could you treat yourself so carelessly!" Lucian, however, seemed oblivious to the pain.

He fixed his gaze on Lemira. "After I'm gone, the company's all yours. Just remember to visit my grave on Memorial Day, that's all I ask!" Lemira's hands slowly clenched into fists.

Orion stepped in front of Lemira, blocking her view.

He looked down at her. "Closing your eyes." Lemira stood still, her eyelids drooping, only to see more blood pooling on the floor.

"Boss, we need to get you to the hospital!" Lucian remained motionless, stubbornly staring at Lemira.

Hogan cried out in despair, "Ms. Lemira, please, let's get the boss to the hospital. He could die, for real!" Lemira reluctantly closed her eyes. Why was everyone pressuring her? She stepped out from Orion's embrace and looked towards Lucian.

She walked over to him.

A glimmer of hope flickered in Lucian's eyes. He wanted Lemira to see the sincerity in his apology! He was willing to die for her! Lemira approached Lucian and struck him on the neck, causing him to faint.

Coldly, she said, "Take him to the hospital." Hogan, no longer concerned with formalities, called in the bodyguards to carry Lucian away.

Asher, who had been waiting in the elevator, was shocked to see Lucian covered in blood. "What happened?" Hogan's voice broke. "The boss wanted Ms. Lemira's forgiveness and took drastic measures." He had tried to advise Lucian, but to no avail.

Otherwise, it wouldn't have cto this! Asher, too, was panicked, clumsily helping Hogan take Lucian to the hospital.
