Chapter 236
Just as Isaac and Patricia were in the middle of breakfast, Elizabeth came right in and saw them eating
together.
She smiled and commented, "Are you only having breakfast now?"
Patricia got up at the sound of Elizabeth's voice and came over right away.
"You're here, Old Mrs. Arnold."
She helped Elizabeth over to the couch.
Patricia was about to head off to prepare a cup of tea for Elizabeth, but Elizabeth pointed at the seat
Patricia left empty.
"Don't mind me. Go ahead and eat, Tricia."
Patricia sat down and ate a few spoonfuls of the chicken soup before taking a sip of hot chocolate.
Her stomach felt a lot better after having some warm food.
Elizabeth glanced at her grandson as a smile flashed across her face.
"Isaac, I want to go shopping today. Can you let Tricia come with me? It can count as work, right?"
Isaac set his cutlery down. He was done with breakfast and after taking a sip of coffee, he frowned and

Patricia was here to accompany him. He was used to having her around at all times.
He might not be able to get used to her absence.
Elizabeth glanced at Patricia. This silly boy. Hasn't he decided that he wants to be with Tricia? Why is
he still bringing up Adeline?
She reached out to adjust his tie. "I want Tricia to come with me. What's the matter? Can't you spare
her?"
Patricia waved it off.
"It's not like that, Old Mrs. Arnold. President Arnold is paying me a very high salary. I should do a
proper job at work."
Patricia didn't know why, but ever since Isaac saved her at Sylvie that night, she developed a special
feeling toward him.
She felt the urge to help him when she saw that he was being put in a difficult spot. She didn't want
anyone to misunderstand him.
"I don't care, Isaac. She's coming with me today."
Elizabeth took Patricia's hand in hers.
"Come, Tricia. There's a socialites' tea party today. Let's go and have some fun together."
Elizabeth pulled Patricia along with her as she left. Isaac's lips curved into a smile as he watched them
leave.
He knew that taking Patricia to a socialites' tea party was Elizabeth's way of saying she accepted
Patricia's status as her future granddaughter-in-law. She was introducing her to the socialites' circle.
Isaac wasn't against it, even though he wished he could have Patricia all to himself.
However, he also hoped that his grandparents would accept her as well. Now that Elizabeth had
approved of her, all he needed to do was wait until Phillip's health recovered a little more, and then he
would get Phillip to accept her too.
Patricia followed Elizabeth out of the office and into a fashion studio.
Apart from giving Patricia a new outfit and a makeover, Elizabeth also wanted to give her a new
hairstyle, so she instructed the staff who stood beside them.
"Give this young lady a new hairstyle that goes with her makeover and new clothes."
The manager acknowledged courteously, "Yes, Old Mrs. Arnold. She's a gorgeous young lady. We'll be
sure to accentuate her natural beauty."
The staff whisked Patricia away to get her hair and makeup done. They also prepared a new outfit for

She was so sleepy that she ended up dozing off until the manager woke her up.
"Please wake up, miss. We've finished."
Patricia looked up. Her eyes grew wide as she gulped.
She nearly exclaimed aloud at the sight of the woman staring back at her in the mirror.
Her eyes were large and round as the shop assistants and stylists began to whisper among
themselves.
"She looks so pretty!"
"The hair and makeup complement her perfectly."
"She's too gorgeous!"
The woman in the mirror had wavy hair and sparkling eyes. Her beauty straddled the line between
innocence and allure. Patricia could scarcely believe that the woman in the mirror was her.
Elizabeth had gotten her hair done as well. She was wearing a maroon-colored formal gown and
looked exquisite too.
She smiled when she saw Patricia.
"Tricia, the two of us are going to be the belles of the party today."
She took Patricia's hand and smiled with crinkling eyes.
"Come. Let's go to the socialites' tea party."
