Chapter 237
Patrica was wearing a white long dress, and it paired up well with Celestial Tears. No matter what she
was wearing, they'd go well with Celestial Tears. Simple clothes, fancy clothes, this necklace fits all. No
wonder it costs so much.
She got into Elizabeth's car, and they made their way to a certain villa in Culture Alley. It was a retro
residence, and the area was home to wealthy families.
The door was made of phoebe zhennan wood. It looked heavy and as big as a wall.
A servant came and opened the door the moment Elizabeth's car stopped. "Hello, Mrs. Arnold." They
opened the car door for her.
The servants had no idea who Patricia was, but they greeted her politely. "Hello, Miss."
Patricia nodded at them.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtElizabeth went around the car, then took Patricia's hand and put it around her arm. The ladies made
their way to the door.
A garden stood between them and the door. There was a pond in the garden, and some koi were
swimming happily in the waters. Eventually, they came to the tea party's venue, which was a
greenhouse.
It was a big, perpetually warm greenhouse. Some servants took their coats when they arrived, and the
ladies walked into the venue.
Flowers of all colors and types bloomed in the greenhouse. They were gorgeous, and the air was filled
with their beautiful scent. Patricia's attention was captured by the flowers, especially the roses. There
are black roses too.
Elizabeth asked, "Do you like flowers?" She wouldn't stop looking at them ever since she came.
Patricia smiled awkwardly. "I've never seen so many flowers in full bloom before, and in winter too. And
I've never seen most of the species here."
Elizabeth loved how genuine she was. A braggart would never admit to the fact they had never seen
flowers like these before. She gazed at Patricia for a few moments. She's a good girl.
A long, white table stood in the center of the greenhouse. Desserts, fruits, and flowers decorated the
surface, and around the table sat the ladies. They were enjoying their tea and flowers, but unlike any
civilian, these ladies enjoyed their meal elegantly.
This was Patricia's first time attending a feast of flowers. This is eye-opening.
When Elizabeth made her entrance, everyone stood up and welcomed her. "Hello, Mrs. Arnold."
Elizabeth nodded and made small talk with the ladies. Some of them had greying hair just like
Elizabeth, but they were dressed beautifully. Patricia could hardly believe they were the elderly.
They looked at Patricia. "And this is?"
Mrs. Arnold brought her here. She's going to be her heir. Maybe she's going to be Isaac's wife too.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEveryone was keeping an eye on her, and Elizabeth introduced, "This is Patricia. Miss. Aniston is also
Isaac's girlfriend."
Ah. I see. So she is Isaac's future wife.
Everyone said hello to her. "Hello, Miss Aniston, I'm Lorelei."
"Hello. I'm Melissa Chaucer. Just call me Melissa."
Gwen was in the furthest seat from the table. She spent top dollar begging her cousin to bring her here,
as she wanted to see what a tea party in the upper society was like. Attending this event was enough
for her to brag everywhere she went. Not everyone had the privilege to join. After all, this was an
internal party held by the aristocrats of Appleby.
The Anistons, for example, were rich and powerful, but they were a far cry from the real top aristocrats.
They didn't have the privilege to join, but fortunately, her cousin was married to someone from the
Selwyns. Thanks to that, she got herself a ticket. Still, she never thought Elizabeth would bring Patricia
along.
